Front Desk / Reception

Front Desk – Reception

  • Daytime or evening opportunities
  • 4 hour shifts
  • Can be weekly on a predetermined schedule
  • Can be occasional, such as monthly or call in

Basic Skills needed:

  • handle a cash register
  • computer check in system
  • answer phones, transfer calls and answer question

Links 2 Wellbeing Outreach Volunteer

We’re looking for volunteers to help us build our network of health care providers and allied health care professionals, to develop referrals and ensure the success of social prescribing.

What is Links2WellBeing?
This project provides a pathway for health care providers and allied health care professionals to link older adults to social and recreational opportunities to promote their wellbeing.

What the volunteer role involves:

  • Create and maintain a tracking list of local health care providers, allied health care professionals and organizations in Ridgetown and area

  • Distribute outreach packages to health care providers

  • Schedule opportunities to connect with providers to review package

  • Host virtual or in-person lunch and learns with health professionals and organizations to promote the Links2Wellbeing social prescribing opportunity

  • Complete follow up calls with professionals and organizations as needed

  • Update and assemble outreach packages as needed

This role may be a great fit for you if you:

  • are passionate recreation, socialization, and wellbeing

  • like organizing and making lists and have some basic knowledge of excel (we can also train you)

  • enjoy making conversation and new connections and talking on the phone

  • like to learn and are willing to participate in the initial trainings and quarterly check-in sessions

Time commitment
To begin the project we anticipate the first 2-3 months it will be a time commitment of approximately 4-6 hours. Once the project has started, the time commitment will be approximately 1-3 hours/month.

The Grant Writing team researches funding opportunities and puts together grant applications.
