Jill and Sue met last April in Walk it Off (a daily walking group at The Centre) and quickly found they have a lot in common.

“We got talking and I found out that Sue is a retired Registered Nurse like I am. One thing led to another and now we’re both involved in some committees at The Centre and I have someone to talk about nursing with. I feel very grateful for her friendship,” Jill says.

“Coming here has made all the difference in the world for me,” Sue explains. “I’ve lived here almost 5 years and didn’t really know many people in town other than my neighbours. I found it very welcoming the first time I came here.”

Jill and Sue both agree that it has been difficult to make connections after the pandemic and The Centre is a great place to make new friends and volunteer.

The Centre is always welcoming new members. To learn more, click here or visit us at 40 Erie Street South in Ridgetown.
